About Me
I'm passionate about developing the tech for tomorrow that will serve and improve human life in the long run.

I have recently completed my Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a focus on Product Design & Medical Device Development.

A major part of my Masters was spent in working with Philips Healthcare for the development of a novel Atherectomy Catheter to increase the efficiency of Minimally Invasive Endovascular Surgical procedures. Apart from that, I have explored and worked upon various projects focusing on Mechanical Design, DFM-DFA, FEA, PCB Design, Mechatronics, Wearable Electronics, SAE and Food Industry.

I'm now excited to start my career in Product Design & Development.

My Education

University of Colorado Boulder
August 2017Â - December 2019
MS : Mechanical Engineering (Product Design & Medical Devices)
A totally hands-on experience, where I spent 5 semesters working on 12 projects both individually and in teams of engineers with diverse backgrounds & cultures. Also, I got a chance to be a TA for 200+ undergrad ME students during this time, learning a lot about people management in the process.

University of Pune, India
August 2012Â - June 2016
BE : Mechanical Engineering
I worked towards building a strong foundation in core Mechanical Engineering concepts, such as - Design, Thermal, Materials & Manufacturing and understanding their practical applications through projects in SAE-India and Food Processing Industry.
My Experience

Philips IGT Devices, Colorado
August 2018Â - May 2019
Mechanical Design Engineer
I was responsible for the end-to-end Mechanical Design and Development of a large-lumen Atherectomy Catheter. This novel steerable over-the-wire device is designed to debulk an 8 mm diameter lesion in the Femoral Artery and restore blood-flow to the legs of PAD/CLI patients. I was also the Project Manager on the team.

University of Colorado Boulder
June 2018 - April 2019
Teaching Assistant
I was the TA for undergrad ME courses like Component Design, Manufacturing and Solids. My primary responsibilities included designing semester long projects, such as: "Designing & building a drill-powered vehicle","Reverse Engineering a Consumer Electronic product" and helping out the students with my technical expertise. I also conducted lab sessions on: Casting, GD&T, SPC and Plastics Engineering. I have supervised around 30+ student teams, which is roughly 200-220 students. I was assisting Dr. Janet Tsai during this time.

Volkswagen India
August 2016Â - June 2017
Graduate Trainee
As a member of the Technical Information Management team, I managed the Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for the newly launched 2.0L Diesel Engine Series going into the Indian premium segment car market. Performing detailed BOM analysis in MS-Excel, working in CFTs to resolve production issues and interacting with production line staff was a big part of my daily job.

Padmatech Industries, Pune-India
August 2015Â - June 2016
Product Development Engineer
For my senior year design project, I worked on the design and manufacturing of an Industrial Food Processing equipment (Pomegranate De-seeder). It significantly reduced the number of red seeds getting damaged, while being separated from the outer thick skin of the pomegranate. I gained experience in product re-engineering, complex mechanism development, CAD, 2D drawings, manufacturing and customer interaction.

My Life Learnings
The hands-on experience that I have gained through my graduate life has not only helped me improve my technical skills and upgrade my resume but also has taught me how to apply my knowledge & a sound mind, to face and solve real world problems & concerns without the fear of any failure.
I highly believe that I have not only grown immensely as a Mechanical Engineer but also as a person in terms of undertaking responsibilities and driving tasks to completion over the last 2.5 years here at CU Boulder.
This portfolio will help me highlight the projects that I have worked upon in Medical Device R&D, Consumer Electronic Products, Mechanical Systems, DFM-DFA, FEA, PCB Design and Mechatronics.
